administrative services:

Recruitment of subjects to participate in your experiments: Xlab maintains a database of subjects who are willing to participate in experiments.

Expedited CPHS : Xlab has its own <MASTER PROTOCOL> approved by the <CPHS>. If your experiment falls within the purview of this protocol, Xlab can help expedite the approval process. Approval within one week of submission is possible.

Flexible scheduling of experiments: Our hours are:

Monday thru Friday 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
Saturdays and Sundays CLOSED

Data security: While the data from your experiments reside on our server, they will be protected in compliance with University policy governing sensitive data. Transmission of data files to you after an experiment will be by secure FTP or removable media that we hand to you. Once the data has been transferred to you, Xlab will delete the data files on its server. We will never backup data collected from your experiments to tape or other storage media.

Easy payment of subjects: Researchers will provide chart string information to the Xlab Administrator, and an agreed upon dollar amount will be transferred to the Xlab. Prior to an experiment, subject information will be entered into a financial database. Using checks drawn against the Xlab checking account, Xlab staff will pay subjects as they leave the laboratory. Financial and personal information will be secured.

Cancellation notification: If an experiment must be cancelled, researchers are obligated to provide Xlab with notification at least 24 hours in advance. We will notify all subjects of the cancellation; however, researchers are obligated to pay a $5 (five dollar) show-up fee to subjects who do not receive timely cancellation notices and who show up for the experiment.
